What is an interactive audio drama? An interactive audio drama, to us, is when a fully realized soundscape is played over headphones while audiences move through a physical landscape. In our audio dramas a physical guide interacts with audiences, pulling them along on the journey and often requiring their assistance in some way. Through the use of soundscapes we make our worlds fully immersive without any noise pollution.  The War was made to be flexible when it comes to space and can be performed almost anywhere. It has been done in the streets of Downtown Orlando, the hallways of a hotel in Atlanta, GA, and around Loch Haven Park. In The War there is a second type of interactive theater with The Historian, an actor speaking live with the audience.

What’s New? In this version of the show we have three unique Historians from the future. Depending on which Historian you go with you’ll see a slightly different perspective. All the groups will experience the story of all the characters of The War and see mostly the same scenes. This show is all about perspectives so Phoenix Tears has 4 different directors in charge of the 3 audio tracks and the historians from the future. Danielle Ziss directing the Aristocrat & Peace Talks, Clark Levi directing The Recruit, Mallory Vance directing the General and Megan Markham directing the Historians.
